Camino de
Santiago:
Muxía -
Fisterra

This stage connects Santiago de Compostela with Fisterra and Muxía, along an
ancestral route that extends the Camino beyond the tomb of the Apostle.
It is one of the routes with the deepest meaning: a kind of
spiritual epilogue that leads walkers to the Atlantic Ocean,
where, for centuries, the world seemed to end.

A route filled with
symbolism, history and
endless landscapes

What you are about to experience is much more than a route: it is an inner and outer journey through some of Galicia’s purest corners.

As you walk through villages, hills and cliffs, the Camino will gradually reveal its rural soul, the constant murmur of the sea and the hospitality of its people. Each day is a small discovery, an invitation to walk without rushing, to stop and look, and to let yourself be carried by the serenity of the landscape.

You will discover Ponte Maceira and its medieval bridge over the Tambre; you will feel the echo of the legends of Pedra da Barca and Pedra de Abalar, and understand why this land was considered sacred long before Christianity.

The emotion culminates when you reach the lighthouse, where the horizon opens up in all its magnitude and the Atlantic wind seems to whisper ancient stories of sailors and pilgrims.

There, facing the sea, you will understand the deeper meaning of this experience: the journey does not end; it becomes memory and the desire to return.
