the Portico of Glory

ABOUT VOLTA DE GLORIA
Volta de Gloria is a circular tourist and cultural itinerary with departure from and arrival in Santiago de Compostela. It is structured around the Fisterra-Muxía and Muros-Noia Caminos, connected by the Mythical Way, a new section between Fisterra and Muros.
THE ORIGIN AND DESTINATION OF THE JOURNEY
Santiago de
Compostela
The result is a route of between 270 and 300 kilometres in accessible stages, inviting travellers to discover the western coastline of Galicia through natural landscapes, historical heritage and symbolic landmarks such as Cape Fisterra, Monte do Pindo and the Ézaro waterfall. Gloria refers to the Glory of Compostela, carved in stone in the cathedral’s Pórtico de la Gloria, but also to the glory of nature, which shapes this route with its ancestral force.
